About the brand

Founded in 1975 by Marie-France and Bernard Cohen, Bonpoint is the reference in luxury childrenswear, Parisian craftsmanship scaled down without being simplified, from hand-smocked dresses and Liberty prints to the cherry-branded universe that has dressed generations of children, including a fair share of royal ones. Now part of the EPI group, the house runs boutiques across the world's capitals and a digital flagship serving parents and gift-givers who expect nothing less for a child's wardrobe than they would for their own. Bonpoint's product is heirloom-grade, garments made to be photographed, kept and handed down, and its clientele is international, discreet and exacting. That exactingness collides online with a structural truth no other fashion segment faces: the wearer of the garment is never the one buying it, and the body being dressed will not be the same body in six months. Childrenswear is beautiful; children's sizing is brutal.

Challenge

Children are the hardest sizing problem in fashion. Age-based labels, 4 ans, 6 ans, describe a statistical child who does not exist: real four-year-olds span a size range that would cover three adult sizes, and every child is growing mid-season, so the right size today is the wrong size by spring. The buyer compounds the difficulty: a parent estimates, a grandparent guesses, a gift-giver ordering from another country guesses in a foreign size system. At Bonpoint's price point, the consequences are painful in both directions, a too-small dress is an expensive disappointment, a too-large one misses the occasion it was bought for, and returns of delicate, heirloom-grade garments carry costs a knitwear return never does. The house needed sizing guidance built for bodies that change, buyers who aren't wearers, and a catalogue where a smocked dress and a knit cardigan fit entirely differently at the same age label.

Solution

Bonpoint gave Kleep the go-ahead in July 2025, and the deployment went live in November 2025 after a complex integration, a build that had to fit the house's systems and its category's particularities rather than force either into a template. The sizing model is child-specific from the ground up: parents answer for their child in seconds, and the recommendation is calibrated per garment on the actual cut, accounting for growth rather than trusting an age label, guidance that thinks a season ahead, the way experienced parents do. The interface is white-labelled to Bonpoint's refined codes, discreet enough for a luxury flagship, with recommendations returned in under 250 milliseconds. Behind the storefront, Kleep built children-specific KPIs into the dashboard, so the house measures fit performance on the metrics that actually describe its business, not adult e-commerce metrics wearing a smaller size. Childrenswear's hardest problem, treated as its own discipline.
